Julia Boese

Julia grew up in Tulsa, OK and, despite her family’s influence, never managed to develop an accent. She got her B.A. in Neuroscience from Colorado College in 2014. After trying her hand at addiction research at the University of Michigan and University of California, Irvine, she realized, it was not the right fit. So, as of now, she is exploring interests, mining them for some career-related inspiration.

Such interests include acting, improvising, aikido, and podcasts. In fact, she likes podcasts so much she is going to try her hand at it. On this website. This one. Right here.

Julia hopes to focus her podcasts and audio projects on subjects she feels passionate about: comedy, intersectional feminism, mental health, queer identity, enamel pins, relationships and communication therein, dogs, and old VH1 reality dating shows. It is her hope that she can create content that brings a modicum of joy, entertainment, or feeling that she gets from her favorite podcasts.

Currently, the podcasts she will be posting on this site will be for her Intro to Podcasting class. She makes no promises to her boyfriend or dog that they will be good. She does, however, intend to have as much fun as possible.
